People reject the concepts of suicide or rejecting kids, so they use terms like "i cant afford" or "i'm not ready yet".
Fact is people are simply not reproducing. The world is simply seen as too hard and hostile. Some do commit suicide, others engage in mindless hedonism or work themselves to death. No one enjoys it and no one wants a repeat.
