A new spider has been found in Australia. Its webs catch larger animals like birds, rabbits and possums. A bite worth of poison is strong enough to kill over 100 people.
The spider has likely evolved from larger funnel web spiders as a new ant that’s poisonous to humans has been eating spiders such as red backs and funnel webs. The ant likely gained the ability to poison from adapting to eating poisonous spiders.
