So for reference this dude did a test on the best shot size for taking out drones. He tested it against plastic, carbon fiber, aluminum and then for shits and giggles steel.

Pretty much any shot will handle plastic, you need #4 shot (not #4 buckshot) or larger for carbon fiber and 00 Buckshot will go through aluminum and 000 Buckshot got through steel.

drones only work in wide open areas. they're useless in a forest for example. or a dense city. plus you can't actually control territory with a drone. you need boots on the ground for that.
