I've gone to multiple, there are lots of hot bitches and they're very approachable as long as you present yourself well. it's a big hassle getting out to them though and i would never be able to go to one without other people doing the legwork of finding where and when it's going on, buying tickets, etc.

If someone is (actually) into you at the con, and they invite you to go to the rave with them, that's probably where they will want to make out.
BTW Magfest and Katsucon have absolutely fantastic "raves" at the club on the roof.
