>>512027817The religions of the world that claim to follow a perfect law, in which people who subscribe to the idea that it’s possible for man to be “good” relative to their own opinion when it’s a perfect law only God himself could emulate is precisely the problem. The knowledge of good and evil doesn’t refer to God’s judgement, it makes the basis for man’s worldview himself, which is why everything good man does is done under compulsion and fear, there is no genuine love in it. This is why the book says the heart is deceitful and wicked.
The answer to your question is Judaism, which the tenants of it require you to live perfectly by the law, which is why Jesus savagely doubles down on the priests when they talk about to be saved because in reality they’re looking to glorify themselves, not serve God. So even when Jesus clearly schools them with the text they’ve built their whole lives around, they refuse to accept what he’s saying despite it being the inerrant word of God. Revealing religion of any kind, where there is no trust in the gospel of Christ is ultimately against God and acts like a gatekeeper mechanism that Satan can hide behind while using it to deliberately slander and misrepresent God.
Religion is riddled with guilt, it’s evident in the fact that these people appeal to morality (everyone is religious to a degree, they don’t need to acknowledge God to be religious, God and religion aren’t synonyms)

>judaism specifically handed him over to be killed But every religion up to and including Christianity where the basis for salvation is not believing the gospel, but trusting your own efforts by living by the law (galatian/judaized religion) means you’re an unbeliever.
Matthew 7:20 explains this quite well. The people being condemned are citing what they did, their faith is evidently in themselves. They’re actually doing what Satan is attempting to do, arrogate the lie that he is God.
