You can't relate to someone who hasn't reached similar milestones (paid a bill, moved, first car, life experience stuff) to you. You should only date peers because of the already low success rate of even similar minded folks.
The reason child marriage was more ok (22 married to a 14 yr old) is because back during that time period the milestones in life they experienced were not that different. A 22 yr old on 1820 had the same experience with death as a 14 yr old, the same experience with work and same education.
Milestones are how people determine whether or not an age gap is acceptable and in 2025 you already slept with 12 people by the time your 20. The 14 yr old hasn't. You already bought a car and filed taxes
