Asian striver culture is fucking awful. No one wants to live in China. They bring their bug hive culture here and are killing the golden goose. America is successful because we have (had) a culture that promoted general education, a Greek influenced confluence of vitalism and intellectualism while Asian cultures are "study hard, pass exam" without any thought or philosophy behind the meaning of education or how it relates to the betterment of oneself and society. No, they view education as a tool for crass personal advancement and petty status games.
