>>512052048did the mentally ill person you know become 100% better between episodes/remain on meds?
I never found the meds to help I was always "unwell" until I got better even without psychosis.
stress causes the psychosis either physiological or psychological. this person you love get them on as many whole foods as possible and lower carbs slow (too fast can cause psychosis/Mania etc). for some people they appear to be able to get off meds or they are well managed on them. it was an entirely different quality of life for me personally. I was trying to get a power of attorney a few months before I started to get better. I was constantly in debt from predatory lending and had no savings my whole adult life and now I save like a normal person and have zero debt. life is good kind of feels like how my brain was when I was a teenager/no brain fog.
For me managing stress means sleep schedule, whole foods (no enriched wheat products, seed oils, processed corn), daily exercise, socializing, no violent/high stress media, no video games, some easy yoga/stretching (i know, gay but it helps) no pharma or random vitimins unless I'm gonna die. I was a person who couldn't even shower and stared into the mirror for hours just drooling, it was significant illness and I'm just saying there is hope even for small improvements.
psychosis is weird you don't always remember all of it but the demonic stuff hit me different and i knew when it was gone. the regular stuff is just a weird memory that still seems true but I know it wasn't now.
either way sorry about your loved one I do hope their situation improves as I'm sure based on my own family the difficulty is no different for you.
