I'm genuinely curious over what drives people to support communism despite the overwhelming evidence from the last century that it simply doesn't work.
There are millions of refugees from countries like Venezuela, Cuba, North Korea, etc. (which apparently aren't communist when it's convenient) that fleed their countries due to communism and who know it is a failed ideology, but somehow there are people who never lived in those countries that are convinced it's what their country needs to improve and that it's what will save them.
I'm aware capitalism has severe problems, but there has to be a better alternative to a system works as long as there's money and that collapses once it runs dry.

And they move to other capitalist countries. You never hear of people moving from Argentina to Venezuela. It's always the other way around.
