Just playing devil's advocate, because this sounds more and more dystopian the more I think about it - RFID or QR code on your cup/bottle, have to return and scan the empty one to get another drink (to stop people from cheating), system tracks how many you've had and automatically cuts you off or makes you wait a while once you hit the limit. If you really want to get crazy about it, have a breathalyzer at the bar and you have to be under a certain % to get another drink.
