> china, vietnam, laos

lmao none of those are communist anymore. China has over 600 billionaires.

China hasn't been communist since Mao fell.

Except for china it's all endstage socialism. For actual communism to work you'd need enough power to enforce it.
If you want to observe "communism work" I suggest southafrican warlords.

Mao knew women are a commodity so basically he was trying to trade with the US, its just that the US is too cucked due to feminism to notice what he was trying to do

Communism doesn’t mean rich people don’t exist, Mao was crusading against the rich because he viewed them as being part of the corrupt old system holding the people down. Rich people in China can’t get too out of hand otherwise they get Jack Ma’d

I would argue that Xi has basically made a 21st century interpretation of communism

>Communism doesn’t mean rich people don’t exist

Yes it does, that's the basics of communism, no private property, no classes aka no rich people. There were no billionaires in the USSR because it was actual communism.

That idea failed under Mao and got replaced by a mixed market system which just means government+private ownership aka the same system every government in history ever had. There's nothing communist about modern China aside from the aesthetics.

China's actual attempt at implementing communism failed and starved millions to death.

Leninism specifically was the strain of communism that argued there needed to be a party and classes IIRC, and that’s why the USSR and China always said/say “…in adherence with the doctrine of Marxist-Leninism…”

This always interested me...why do attempts at implementing communism always result in mass death?

China in 2025 is textbook fascism. They can call themselves whatever they want. All societies are actually plutocracies whatever else they claim to be.

> needed to be a party and classes IIRC,

You don't recall correctly, all forms of communism aimed, in the end, at abolishing property and classes, there was nothing unique about Leninism in regards to its ideology. What made it unique was its belief in using a party and the proletariat to violently overthrow the capitalist order to implement communism.

And belief in having the proletariat violently overthrow the social order wasn't itself even unique, but rather an inherited strategy from earlier Russian socialists like Chernyshevsky that filtered down to Lenin.

Because government bureaucrats aren't gods and can't control reality as much as they would like to. Mao couldn't just say "produce x amount of grain" and have that grain magically appear.

So when the communist government taxes away all the grain in a region because it expects there to be even more than there actually is based on projections, what happens? Everyone starves.
