This is supposed to be some prestige thing, an expensive effort to bring in scientists from around the world and develop an unlikely vaporware tech that would cost a lot to Germany and benefit everybody.
The problem is they are losing the basis of their wealth and their people in the mean time, and they can't even acknowledge that the Afghans and Somalians they ship in are detrimental to this effort and not a help.
Meanwhile they shut down nuclear fission for no reason at all. Wouldn't the same retarded eco freaks attack nuclear fusion power plants?
