>>512118408one thing that always bothered me about that is the bible itself only discusses demons a handful of times and each time it is very vague. No real explanation about what is going on, why or how, just that its a thing that some people deal with, maybe all people, but definitely some people.
Like the only resources to learn about these sorts of things are extra-biblical works almost entirely written by protestants of the "probably doesnt really know what hes talking about" variety.
And I say all that because Ive performed exorcisms. I used to travel around the country and cast demons out of people. ive seen people get the shivers when it happens, ive seen people violently throw up, ive seen a handful of people have their body disfigured during the process, one guy his neck swelled up like there was a basketball in it.
While doing it I went by "what everyone else teaches about how to do it" but over time I started experimenting and I think I proved a couple of things, maybe it was confirmation bias maybe not.
>its easier to do if you can figure out what a demon is called but its not entirely necessary to know its stupid name>it is not always necessary to call on Jesus's name, sometimes they go without doing so. But the ones that wont go wont leave unless Jesus's name is called on. (ive no idea what to make of this) >it is not always possible to cast out a demon, even if you call on Jesus' name (also, no idea what to make of this)>people that seem like they have their shit together tend to have the nastier demons that are the hardest to get outbig one:
>going to church and reading the bible is not what protects someone from demons
