Boomer and Gen-Xers were and are controlled by at most a half dozen TV channels. It's been getting harder with millenials and with zoomers it's become impossible to constantly police and thought control 100,000s of discord chats and millions of social media accounts.

my point is there is no gen z, or very very little, on places like a BBS or any alternative tech. That is either grey beards or millennials. Who lets be honest by now our beards are getting grey as well.

It's actually easier due to the centralization of everything on the internet. Youtube, tiktok, etc are all transcribing videos into text and analyzing them, that's how age restriction goes onto some YouTube videos automatically. Text is even easier, discord knows everything that's going on in there. Algorithms generally dictate what people see and the atomization is actually on purpose. This stuff is more sophisticated than you think
