As others have stated, vegas has become a rip off. My folks used to go back in the 80s and 90s and always enjoyed. Flights were cheap, nice rooms were cheap, food was cheap, and entertainment was cheap. 3 dollar breakfasts and 9 dollar steak specials were common. Drinks ranged from cheap to free. So you could go, gamble as little or as much as you wanted and get a non stop party for basically nothing.

Now everything is obscenely expensive. Like stadium pricing on drinks and food. Even a cheap order by the slice pizza place was 100 dollars for people to get slices and beer. We also had a 180 sports bar tab for a handful of drinks and nachos.

A dinner for 3 at a higher end steakhouse was 800 fucking dollars. Now this is a steakhouse and they are expensive, but in a normal city steakhouse this dinner would have been probably 300 bucks.

The flights are still cheap. But hotel rooms are expensive and shows can be hundreds of dollars per person. Nothing you get is worth the price of admission. And the more they lose the more they jack up prices to compensate. Then they bitch and moan about it.
