They know who's calling to complain, or if it's a complaint dropped in the complaint box, then they have an idea who left it based on what is described (work area especially) and who, in that area, doesn't seem to be happy and getting along like everything is fine.
I submitted an "anonymous" complaint once at a warehouse job and was identified by name, during a meeting, as the complainant.
So I wouldn't put in any complaint either, no matter the stakes. If you lose your job and don't have family to turn to, you can end up on the street, which is a fate much worse than just dying.
