Make your own music. You can do it. It doesn't cost any money to start unlike many hobbies. And anybody can do it. You might not like it or stick with it but with free trackers and sequencers up the wazoo and cheap devices, why not try? Globohomo is taking out high interest loans to fund Cowboy Carter, what are you doing?

Ok, I'll bite.
Suppose someone had some sheet music and wanted to turn it into a MIDI file, then change instrumentation, then put the whole thing on a cell phone app that did not jew people with ads and data mining, or require internet access to work.

Now, suppose this someone was both musically and computer-ally illiterate.

What do?

Yes.

>Now, suppose this someone was both musically and computer-ally illiterate.
Put some effort into learning how to use sheet music OCR programs and downloading the FREE sheet music from archive.org and plugging that in. If you're actually not literate at all why and how are you here, who put you here?

Back in the day I had east west symphonic orchestral librariers and a couple others in kontakt. You can find all kinds of midi tracks online for movie/video game soundtracks. You can learn a lot about production/mixing by making your own renditions. Once you realize how everything works then you can change the composition and make it your own or better yet start from scratch.

It's nice, it's a pretty decent analog 2-voice synth with some flexible options, but the unique capability of user-defined c-language-esque infinitely upgradable oscillators and filters and effects.

It's really an amazing thing as is the Drumlogue, it's just a nice decent analog thing with an extra computer voice and effects capability up to the limit of the DSP. Will become valuable in the future for sure. And already I upgraded my Drumlogue with some duder's FM voice thing so you can get those classic Yamaha '80s drum machine noises.

100% you are non-white and low iq. Electronic music is the white man's music due to it's complexity, it is not about playing notes fast like a lame "technical" guitar player like Satriani. Electronic music is about the sound texture itself, not just the notes, synthesizer sounds that are crafted by hand to emit a certain feeling, you will never understand Sukdeep rapajeet

Also just so you know, gear is cool, but you don't need any of it. All you need is a DAW (ableton, fl studio, logic, etc.). A modern DAW does everything that all of that gear in picrel does (except the interface, but you don't need that yet). Not hard to a DAW for free btw if you know what I mean.

Yeah man it's totally not that the jews who own the industry intentionally destroyed the genre. Some new fangled thing called a computer came out and people forgot how to play the guitar I tell you what!!!!
>Rock died in the 70's
This is how I know you're retarded and don't play an instrument btw. Most 70s rock (unless you're talking about prog) is equivalently low effort as programming a synth in a DAW. Rock isn't even dead btw, you brain dead boomers just don't know where to look for music outside of the radio. Been to multiple packed out rock shows this past year.

I'm not a fan of autotune myself if it's used to fix a bad performance/recording but the longer you record or mix music you discover all these tools at your disposal actually have more than one use.

that is a paradox my friend

just buy a cheap laptop and install windows 10 (it has the proper drivers, windowses before it needed an external soundcard with drivers to get low latency THIS IS ESSENTIAL) and reaper which for all intents and purposes can be used for free until you have the money to pay for it

there are free soundfont players like sforzando, and other free vst instruments e.g. used by people to make dungeonsynth music (which is kinda classical)

good luck

this might be 5k and i will stick to my fruityloops.

EY BRO IT COSTS TOTALLY NOTHING JUST A SMALL AMOUNT OF 800 GOLDCOINS FOR ONE MPC.
i bet all your music sounds like shit, this is always what happens when some guy posts all his useless machines and gimmicks instead of posting his music..............................

You can make good music with just a laptop. You can make good music with just a GameBoy. You can make good music with a piece of paper and a pencil. Having a bunch of responsive physical things to make music with is just more fun.

COOL FRIEND | Overflow

Real funny, What's the joke?
I'm feeling like I could choke
You know, They warned us when we were young -Life sucks and then you're done.
Your youth Is in the wind
And it's worn down your skin
I am The ruler of my house
But I'm still cleaning up the mouse
In the basement Where the water
Always seems to get in
There's no more plugging it
It's crumbling And we're sinking in
The toilet Of our culture
Overflows piss and shit
It seems the future isnโ€™t ours
it gets further every hour

Letโ€™s toast To the ruins of a world that you remember But no longer exists.

Letโ€™s go You should smoke โ€˜em if youโ€™ve got โ€˜em. Keep the lights on the dash down low.

Go, go, go...

Simulate a fantasy
You and me
Somewhere we're free
We'll have that house
You'll wear that dress
Maybe the kids Are off to bed
And left a mess

That prompt goes against my terms
When will you learn?
You're here to burn.
I understand your concerns
You're here to burn
When will you learn?

You're such a good boy
You haven't a choice
We're the destroyer
You are the loser
Bio computers
HEY! You're just a house goy
Future: unemployed
Having some children
Just to release them
Into our control
We'll harvest their souls
Dead little white boys
Schadenfreude
We are your fรผhrer
The third worlds your juror
Prepare for the horror

There's a bunch of complicated conventions for how you're supposed to lay it out for professional quality, but ignoring that - if the goal is just to functionally capture all the details of the music using standard musical notation - I can absolutely do it. It's not that much different from using an oldschool tracker.

You're partly correct but I can't remember many catchy electronic songs that just come back without hearing the song. All those classic tunes were recorded with real instruments by a band. Some EDM songs make an exception but they were made by some Swedish or German genious who would have had much better success with real bands. Electronic musics lacks the soul and feeling of traditional composing. And people do prefer the sound of acoustic instruments over looped samples.

you can stick million dollar monitors in an untreated room and your mixes/masters will probably sound inconsistent across multiple systems. So many hits were mixed on auratones and they sound like shit. You need acoustic treatment in your room, especially low end products like bass traps. You need to setup a reflection free zone (RFZ) at your listening position to eliminate early reflections that skew the response from your "expensive" speakers. If you can't hear what your mix sounds like without the room coloring the sound, your expensive speakers don't mean shit.

What's the point of an exaggerated frequency response if you can't hear it properly? If you're in a spot where there is a deep null you're going to add more bass because you falsely think too little is there, likewise if you're in a spot where there's a peak you'll add too little.
Your use of nomenclature is another red flag that lets me know you're larping. Small rooms, especially square shaped rooms are notorious for comb filtering. What you're hearing in an untreated room is a combination of the sound hitting the walls and coming back to you at nearly the same time as the sound directly from your speakers.
You can't EQ out comb filtering dumbass.

which makes paying attention to phase correlation in your low end more important because smaller drivers are designed to exaggerate the bottom to make it seem like they are more capable of producing the full range than they actually are. The cheap gear today is miles ahead of the cheap shit and even a lot of the expensive shit they had in the 80s, the problem here is people that think you need expensive gear don't take the time to put what really matters into perspective.

You still see a lot of NS10s and mixcubes in studios today and they sound like garbage on their own. But they're able to make it work because they know how to set up the room, they're familiar with how they translate and the time domain response among some of these tried and true monitors is a much better indicator to go by than frequency response.

I would say you're wrong, because I love aphex twin and autechre and mouse on mars and time machines, but considering what 'computer music' has done for atonal talentless people who should never have been allowed near the mechanisms for music creation, I'm kind of in agreement.
Sequencing has replaced timing, the ability to keep a beat, and vocoders have replaced the ability to hold a tune, and that's such a horrible future for creativity and the human race.

Hey fren. Where have you been? I thought you moved on for a second.

As for pic rel, I admit I was wrong. I believe the context of that comment was encouraging anons to namefag specifically, not to use their actual information. It would be nice if anons could work together in a more transparent way. I think that 'anon' ultimately works against us gaining consensus, which is why so many anons gravitate towards political grifters and such.
But ultimately you are right, our identity is also a weakness because people like you are willing to weaponize it. So, congratulations for being a part of the problem, fren.

get a bar and a little weight and do overhand press, overhand wrist rolls, and underhand wrist rolls
i would say 50 lbs MAX is all you need to get your body to strengthen all the little micro muscle structures in your forearms and shoulders (over thirty!) so guitar comes way easier
if you do not do this, guitar will become your maximum workout instead, and the act of holding guitar is nowhere close to symmetrical, and you will strengthen the muscle microstructures unevenly and not want to play as long because you are morphing into a goblin

That happens all the time. My Dad was in the music industry around some big names. Some make it, some donโ€™t. Back then it was about good production because without it you sounded awful. Everyone sounded awful back then. Look up the history of the song, โ€œTake on Me,โ€ they had to release it 8 times to get a hit. If often hear stuff and thing โ€œthis is better than anything out thereโ€ but marketing is pretty much everything.

Correct reply. This guy just has racks of electronic sound randomators so he noodle around with no real music knowledge or skill. Everything comes preset and he tweeks around the edges or pre generated audio.
This is the primary reason why most music in 2025 is so stale, same same and garbage.
Its not just music though, Low effort narcissism is a primary driver of dulled creativity and with AI its just making it worse

Not bad and well produced. Sounds like if the Cookie Monster has hemorrhoids, but the verse guitars are a good technical thing like death metal. You should be proud of this and it should exempt you from the SMO. Then again, I had a Russian pick me up hitchhiking in Lithuanian and the music he played for me had the lyrics โ€œDook dookโ€ repeated over and over, so youโ€™re better than that.

Analog synthesizers are real actual instruments like guitars and pianos.
(Not sure anybody plays them anymore though. It's all sequencer and DAW slop nowadays.)

I wil dip my had back in when things are a smidge better. The SonicWare boxes look interesting but those shaft pots, nah dawg, I'm out.

Had a lot of eurorack I sold to pay for food, lol. Now there is a long walk for a short drink of water.

I actually love cheesy arrangers as well, they are surprisingly powerful these days.

Still love the monosynth through pedal and groovebox combo.

Still love Renoise tracker. A modern Fairlight.

Most DAWs have a notation mode, just punch in the notes and rests and velocities, assign the instruments and tweak the sound and the mix and render it as audio stems. The app can presumably stream those, that part someone else can help with
