However, not only did we not get overall deflation (other than cheap Chinese shit) but we have inflation on top. Many Christian nations banned usury and fiat systems for a specific reason, it leads to economic ruin and it's a form of stealing. The money supply must continually expand since there's not even enough actual real money to pay the debt + interest in the world. So how do you solve it temproarily? by issuing more debt + interest. If you haven't noticed this is like a snake eating it's tail. As all this money piles up, this creates inflation and devalues your dollar. Meanwhile, the elitist class who are asset rich, profit since they hold an appreciating asset, while the plebs hold a depreciating asset (The dollar/fiat).
So to keep the wheels on the bus however it can, you try to import cheaper and cheaper labor until no one even works anymore for paper confetti, this is when all trust in the dollar is lost.

Or currency gets subdivided further when money becomes more valuable through scarcity. 1 farthing was a quarter penny. It can be divided further.
