Per 9/11 towers, aside from hologramfags, we know those jets were modified/faster than the normal American Airlines jets and likely swapped out Operation Northwoods style. I could definitely see them dressing up the missile that hit the pentagon to look like American Airlines at first glance to witnesses.

Yes I think the planes were not typical airliners. There were some witnesses who claimed some anomalies that were quickly memoryholed. And a lot of witnesses at the pentagon said it was a missile, not a plane.
