We used to be able to call the front desk to make or confirm reservations and ask questions. It took 2 minutes. Now, it takes 30 minutes or longer because you have to call an 800 number and talk to an east indian. They have already shut us out.

At least if it was some kind of Japanese style cyberpunk anime hologram you'd have the acknowledgement that there *isn't* a human element, but you'd have the politeness and understanding of less functionality to the front desk.
This is just the worst of all worlds, a 'front desk' that isn't actually even there, there's no atmosphere or vibe and it's just a naked admission of "we are undercutting every single part of this hotel, so if we do this to the front desk you know everything else is shit too".

Only thing this is missing is Elon Musk saying how much better it is and that Americans keep asking for living wages and healthcare so how can we compete with China or some other made up bullshit.
