Human behaviour is to get as much as possible for as little effort as possible. When you throw that math in with communism as a system (no government, everyone is provided for) it doesn't work at a fundamental level because there's no pressure to acquire more resources. Everybody would sit around doing fuck all because there's no reason not to, and then they all starve to death because no one is performing any useful labour. This is one of the reasons why the system never progresses past the authoritarian socialism stage.

If you ever read Das Kapital, even Marx acknowledges this. That was the entire point of his elaboration on communism requiring a "New Man", but the problem is that you can't just rewire the human condition overnight through policy. Even if you could, most of humanity is going to view it as an infringement on their individuality and fight it.

Communism is a purely theoretical system with no practical application. At most, the ideology is used by people to drum up popular support (we'll give you anything you want) to enact social change (put us in charge).

It's human behaviour as a whole, different races just have different thresholds for the effort they're willing to put in, but generally speaking people always want to get more out of something than they put in. You even work this way metabolically, the human body is very efficient at spending calories to move compared to many other mammals, and is why we were a very successful endurance hunter. I do know what I am talking about. I was born on a island with 120 people. No one sits at home doing nothing. Even the unemployed or disabled go around making life better for everyone. I then moved to a bigger islans (+/-500) for school and the same applied (except for weirdoes from the city that came to study because no city-school wants them or whatever). I then tried to live in a bigger city (200k) and it was hell. Moved back and people helped me build my home for free.

Our island is more akin to anarchism if anything. No police, no goverment, no roads and everyone does whatever they want. It is like communism in the way that people who fish, fish for the people who cant. People who can build shit builds for the people who cant. People that make clothes and stuff makes clothes for people who cant and so forth.

We live in a state yes. The state does nothing for us tho. My point is that communism (or anarchism or any "liberal" ism) would work, but only in a SMALL, HOMOGENEUS and THIGHT-NET society.
