All starts with education. National curriculum needs home ec every year including firearms safety and maintenance lessons, and a camping trip at least once a quarter. Add mandatory statistics education, and a study of the federalist papers.
Next, tax households by the number of income sources. Multi-income is a distraction from raising one's family, and while I'm not bothered about who makes the money it should only be one person making the money.
Then progressively tax housing. Primary housing unit is tax free regardless of what kind of residence it is, +25% of assessed value for each further residence. Corporations may only hold multi family housing units longer than a year, and must sell single family zoned housing to a private individual before one year of ownership to prevent speculation and market manipulation
