I have the knowledge from the retail environment of demand planning and good ordering/stocking practices, I have the computer skills and I have a BS, but my BS is not in supply chain (it’s communications). A loan is an investment. If a bank didn't do due diligence when handing out a 150k loan to a 18 year old who wants to study african tribal dancing, it's the bank's fault. If you invest in a shit company and the company goes bankrupt, you aren't entitled to any compensation and just sit on your losses. See, thanks to ESG, DEI, and Equity initiatives, most of these loans went to individuals whose short-term memory doesn't last longer than 15 minutes. If asked if they remember what they ate for breakfast, many cannot remember. Most of these people were gaslit and legally forced into indoctrination from the age of 5 into believing college was their only choice under the pretense that any degree would pay for itself, and the alternative was absolute poverty.
And even then, there's a lot of careers that were originally guaranteed payouts that have completely evaporated over the last decade, either being sold out to visas, collapsing job markets, or obsolescence.
