Most things are cheap af, and people are obsessed with fashion despite all of them being broke, even seeing an expensive bmw/mercedes/audi is rare, 0 supercars

Overall very boring country, visited ankmall and armada mall, the slutiest dressed girls were random 14y olds which were probably tourists aswell. Also i had multiple men, 3+ comment on my muscles ( i used to go to gym )

Went to Turkey in February 2020.
One night we were just about to leave the hotel to go to a night spot when someone started firing an automatic rifle outside.
The receptionists started sceaming teröristler so we retreated to the back of the hotel.
Later we found out that a 9yr old boy in an apartment accross the road had found his fathers AK 47 and went out on the balcony firing into the air.
Soon after that I was having my dinner in the hotel when everything started to crack and shake and there was a rumbling crash like a lorry dumped several tons of bricks. There had been an earthquake not to far away in Izmir.
It was also my first experience of third world driving and I was nearly killed about three times. The last was when we were going home and being driven by bus to the airport. We were taking a mountain road with a sheer drop to the side and the driver was flying around corners in the middle of the road with one hand on the wheel while smoking with the other.
Then a fog cane down and visibility disappeared but he continued his suicidal driving and we missed crashing into a lorry by inches.
All the tourists on the bus started praying outloud.
Also most of the other tourists were there for cosmetic surgery such as teeth implants though I was there to see the ancient sites of Aphrodisias and Ephesus library of Celsus etc.
Well worth seeing
I still keep in touch with someone who spent €5, 000 there on teeth implants.
Last year they started falling out.
She found out she hadn't been given implants but cheap and trashy crowns and bridges.
She had to pay another €10,000 here to get all the work redone kek
