Christian moral teaching equals bigotry. They are homophobic. Religion and science are inherently at odds. Christians want to force their morality on society. Many non‐believers assume Christians are judgmental or dour. For example, one poll found unchurched people calling Christians “so negative that they seem unhappy all the time”. The Bible is self-contradictory. How could a good God command genocide or slavery? Why is everyone at church all old and bitter? The days of "God" are over.

The reason they trigger you is because they don't rationalize it in any way. Its just something they choose to believe with faith.

The thing they did recently which sorta changed everything was claim to be scientific about religion. This started like 30 years ago. ish. The watchmaker argument basically. Which is a good argument. They have plenty of real science to back up their claims. You can accuse them of pseudo science but these are like... people with masters degrees in physics so its hard to do that. Thats sorta the irony that science initially was an opponent of religion. But in some way it ended up vindicating it. 100 or so years ago to debate a Christian meant "When you die your spirit floats up into the clouds where God and Jesus are". And now its like "Well heaven and hell are actually just different dimensions". And that actually kinda would make sense if it were true.

My counter argument to evolution has always been that God is re-using parts of his design. This would fit their model too. And they'll just call me stupid after that so it doesn't matter. They have tons of faith in science too. Its religious the faith they have in science.
