The 1960s was the "coming out party" for the Jews in America and, to a lesser extend, across the entire West. Jews held a lot of power since much earlier, but they didn't show it openly and it wasn't explicitly acknowledged by society until the 60s.
The 60s is when Jews' cultural power was expressed openly and celebrated (the cultural revolutions and rebellions).
The 80s is when the Jews' financial power was expressed openly and celebrated (neoliberal economics, Thatcherism, "greed is good" mentality).
The 2000s, with the War on Terror etc., is when the Jews' foreign policy power was expressed openly and celebrated (wars are now fought for whatever Israel wants).
Now we're on the verge of Jews outright declaring themselves the supreme caste in America and making this a legal distinction, and if this happens, most evangelicals would applaud while most other Americans would just accept it and go along to get along and survive a bit longer.
