southern baptists are compromised, at least all the churches I went to growing up. They use to be good, but people can get into higher leadership positions and vote all the good people out. My pastor had a house that the church provided them, when the new leaders showed up they forcibly replaced him with a new corrupt pastor and kicked him out of the house. Him and his wife struggled to find a new house so a bunch of us got together, left the church and helped him get a new house. Independent baptist bible churches are the way to go, but you have to be discerning as there is no central authority but God.
