There isn't much on the island, just 1 small town. It was formerly an island wide pineapple plantation but now it seems to have patchy tree coverage. Volcanic soil is supposedly very nutrient rich, but Hawaiian islands can also have arid internal regions and former plantations sometimes have depleted soil, not sure how arid/arable the island is.
Anyway, it's mostly just wilderness
