From a theological/spiritual perspective it has a very unfulfilling and unremarkable eschatology. Philosophically making the goal of transcendence be tantamount to nothing but the pleasures you could find on earth simply magnified mathematically (you had one virgin on earth? Have 77 here, you were kept from wine on earth, get drunk here, etc.)
It’s simply outclassed by the vast majority of other spiritualities when it comes to denying the material.
