I don't know what Russia's endgame was with the Caucasus. They invaded Georgia and made the Georgians hate Russia. Russia didnt do shit when Azerbaijan was taking Armenian land and made the Armenians hate Russia. Russia fucked over Azeri people that were working in Russia, told the Azeri government to basically fuck off, and made the Azeris hate Russia.
