Erm. Ukraine existed long before Russia. Russians was were some slave & furs trading towns grew up, Ukraine had already been known to the Caesars and greeks for a thousand+ years who wrote about “the ukrainian Rus”. Russia is just a side op of Ukraine which got out of control.
