I think the error they made is that through the flanderization of cartman over the years, the audience is just supposed to think everything cartman says is bad and wrong by default, without making any effort to show why, so having him just repeat right wing thought crime but the audience is supposed know its bad because its cartman is in general lazy writing but also fails to discount any of the logic of the actual thought crime itself. they built a strawman and they are failing to even attack the strawman. the joke basically becomes cartman saying "I don't like abortion" and you are supposed to immediately see how ridiculous he is because of him saying that.
