Its fun to drive a big truck and dealerships will let someone finance these vehicles with little money down. Some people just like the Ram and Dodge more than Ford or Chevy. Those big trucks can be easily 60k+ or even closer to 100k for the nice trims
Some people get them as a work truck and write off the expense of the car payment and also drive it as their personal vehicle

RAM in particular is for drunks. Nobody buys a Dodge or RAM unless they need the loan that Dodge will give out (they are widely known for giving anyone a loan, regardless of credit rating). Dodge cars are universally driven by single mothers and blacks and RAM trucks are solely owned by drunk drivers with bad credit.

Most normies don't realize that those former Chrysler brands have been sold off to garbage yuropoors at Stellantis. Jeep, RAM, etc. Before that it was Fiat. In fact, they tried to put a Fiat designed diesel in their RAMs and it was a huge disaster. You have to be retarded to buy from yuropoors.

People buy pickups because they want vehicles with powerful V8 engines, comfy ride, interior space, and utility.

Government bureaucrats have been trying to force people into vehicles with small cucked enginelets. Notice how sedans with large V8 engines don't exist anymore. California and the federal government killed those vehicles. People want prosperity and liberty while the government wants people to own nothing and be happy.

I live in the rural south. It is entirely just to appear not poor. Appearing not poor means other people think you are better around here and appearances are everything in the south. No one cares that you work as a grocery store wagie but if you drive a new truck then obviously you somehow are doing better.
No, it does not make sense. But this is an entirely poorfag mindset. The trucks rarely are even used to haul anything and rarely used for the bed. Unironically the only use I have seen some people use their truck bed for is a glorified trash can.
Don't forget that most Americans do not have $1000 in emergency savings. Most people have one foot on the debt spiral and are one vehicle breakdown or small emergency from losing everything. And it is all by jewish design.

It's not gotten as bad as mini-vans, but the normal car market has been absolutely wrecked over the last few years. With the exception of the Mustang and Corvette, I don't think any of the domestic brands make traditional cars anymore. It's all SUVs, hatchback mini-SUVs and trucks.

Better question; why the fuck dont american manufacturers make small trucks? I just want a goddamn hilux, but nearly everything here and now is some 4door bus, at least the stout is coming soon, rn if you want something smaller than an f150 your only options are the maverick which is ugly as sin, or the tacoma; which is.... ok i guess, but only because it has zero competition in niche; unless you want to buy incredibly old used trucks.

It's banned by government CAFE fuel standards. Short light trucks have mandated MPG requirements that aren't practical and there's no profit. Longer 4 door trucks have lower MPG requirements and there's far more profit.

Why 4door though? Thats the part i personally find most confusing about it; who is the target audience? You get more people carrying capacity at the cost of a cucked bed; why not get like a normal sedan or suv at that point?

Just want a rugged and practical (not cartoonishly oversized) truck, doesn't feel like a ridiculous ask, but now 4door seems to be the standard which already adds impracticality on the space wasted for more cab at the cost of bed; or the thing needs to be a fucking bus to have a reasonable bed and carry 4
