Is that a real question? Unless you live in the city, the support infrastructure and battery tech isn't there yet. Heck, for a lot of these cars, the parts inventory isn't even there. Tesla will sometimes take months to repair a car because they lack spares. It's even worse for the cars sold in smaller volumes.

How are they supposed to run when they don't have a gas tank? If you don't continue to put gas in a car, it will stop running. Everyone knows this.
