You shouldn't eat steak often. Maybe once a week is best. Eat other kinds of meat instead, for example chicken or something. If you must consume more steak, at least get the more expensive lean one. Your heart will thank you.

Because they're sick of the peasants also having access to red meat.
Their steak will taste better knowing the rest of us are forced to eat beyond meat and cricket powder because actual meat is now luxury cuisine.

because foreign assets introduced new parasites into the us cattle scene through mexico and the farmers are trying to get a handle on it before it becomes a more widespread "plague". Done intentionally very likely by the way. Similar to how those chinks tried to deploy some form of wheat rot into our ecosystem a month or so back.

That on par with what we pay. Sometimes more for the nicer cuts like rib eye. Which is retarded because we produce 50x more food than we consume.

Also, because ofnthe price of milk solids and subsidies, many farmers have converted from sheep/beef to dairy and now there is a shortage of beeves. Weaners that were $500 are now $700.

The price of home kill hasn't really changed in 10 years though. Im still paying $8 a kilo, so I think the inflation is probably caused between the farm and the retailer.

Also, butter has doubled in price in 4 years. And dairy is our #1 export. Go figure.
