Ukrainians are farmer boys not warriors. There's very few European civilizations who are good at War.

I don't even know what drives them at this point. Their "leader" has bought mansions for his entire family and to my knowledge hasn't even been in or visited Ukraine in three years. Why fight? They seem stuck. Do they really hate each other that much?

They have rear nationalist battalions who act as MP's for deserters much like what Stalin did in WW2. As long as aide money keeps coming in these nationalistic people from the Western part of the country will continue to control the country and dictate its path.
