I saw a gang fight break out near the market in Kamphaeng Phet province. Long days of work in brutal heat are the norm in the countryside. Still, you can walk and get exercise in a lot of different places. It's not always idyllic. Piles of rubbish and aggressive guard dogs rushing out of properties can be an issue. Most tourists see a very small portion of the country instead of an accurate cross-section.
