Humans are NOT created in the image of God. Adam was but then Adam fell. Adam's son is specifically described as being after Adam's image and likeness, not God's. By sinning, humanity lost the image of God. OK then, what is the image of God? CHRIST. (Colossians 1:15) Only by accepting Jesus can you regain the image of God. Until then, you're simply fallen Adam.
