I am a Hindu Indian, and the origin of Sikhism lies in 15th century in India, when islamic nomadic raiders in the northwest regions of India used to invade the subcontinent, rape the women, kidnap the kids, and steal or kill our temples, cows etc. Sikhism is basically a martial faction created by brave men in the greater Punjab region to protect their people against islam. It's because of them that most of India isn't muslim, Punjab lies at the entry point to india
