I always tell people to take notice of the difference between the trails that dissipate near-immediately after the plane passes by, and the ones that linger and spread across the sky over a series of sometimes even hours. One is most certainly water vapor, while the other couldn't just be water vapor.

Been asking about why the two vary so vastly since I was a kid, and still don't have a solid answer.

Funnily enough the lockdowns proved chemtrails are real.
Once they started here in March 2020 the sky was clear of planes and it also stayed blue and clear until june when the first lockdown ended and planes returned permantently.
During that time there were none of the hazy washy blanket-like clouds that were usually around previously.
Just blue skies and occasional normal looking clouds of the main types.
If those weird clouds are natural then why did they disappear for three months when there were no planes?
Reminded me of how when I was growing up old people used to swear that the skies of their youth were blue.
I put it down to nostalgia but not anymore.

I work in the industry. No, planes don't have some magic chem tanks in them, they do have emergency systems to dump fuel though.
Aircraft can take off being heavier than the landing weight. In emergency situations they dump fuel through jettison nozzles I think they were called.
