>>512909267>illegal to gerrymander anymore before democrats can do the sameI hate to break this to you but all blue states like oregon, illinois, california, maryland, massachusetts, connecticut, new york etc. have literally already been gerrymandered.
The entire controversy is not over gerrymandering, it's democrats screaming "You can't do to us what we already did to you!"
For reference if blue states were as un-gerrymandered as red states, like as in forced to have at least a certain proportion of red seats, then Mass would have 2 republicans, maryland would have 2, California would have 12-15, new york would have 11-13, CT would have 2, IL would have 7 etc.
Democrats can literally only win, in any instance, if the republicans just kinda cuck out and let them.
Swing state gerrymandering is also a red herring since Dems lost nevada in 2024 but still had 3/4 seats through gerrymandering, which is mportant when they start yapping about how republicasn got 6/8 wisconsin seats since republicans actually won wisconsin.
The only way a liberal policy can be enforced is if there is no proportionate conservative resistance. The minute conservatives use the same tactics, republicans gain about 20 seats nationally.

IF CA HAD THE SAME PROPORTIONAL SEATS AS TX, REPUBLICANS WOULD HAVE 14 SEATS IN CALIFORNIA INSTEAD OF 7
