I think he was set up. He had different versions of his films based on the jurisdiction he sold them to. European countries were more lenient and allowed pissing and other degrading themes while parts of America didn't so he had to censor them there. Some cop acting like an american civilian ordered an uncensored film in a way that led to it being sent to a jurisdiction where the film was banned. They then got the pretext to arrest him and send him to prison for about 90 months.
