They're flipflopping constantly in my country. There are basically 3 heads of state because of the political system here, and they never hold that Israel is a genocidal country as an opinion for more than 2 weeks at a time before they deflect it with a new PR stunt.
But just recently the PM called Israel scumbags and now the headlines are all about how Israeli media is picking up her quote and making a fuss about it.
I think that's what all the politicians are afraid of. They know they'll get a bounty on their heads if they speak up. It's why they're stopping protests too. It's a security risk for the country, and thus them as political leaders.

How many embargoes have been implemented two years later? How many invasions? How many of anything at all has been done to make them stop? I can tell you about the things done against Iran to make *it* stop, and they're still threatening with the snapback to this day. But the same threats just kind of do not exist against Israel.
