What do they have to get revenge on? The US informed them ahead of time that they were going to bomb an empty facility with munitions that were unlikely to do any serious damage, and in return Iran agreed to retaliate in a way that wouldn't embarrass the US administration too badly. This allowed the administration to pretend to the neocons that they were good goys without actually having to invade Iran. In return for Iran's cooperation in the farce the Trump administration declared that the Iranian nuclear program was no longer a threat, so the Israeli government could back out of a war they discovered they were unable to win, and Iran got to stop the bombing. Iran did a masterful job of avoiding escalating this into a massive war.
