I am an American, and I am proud of the NASCAR drivers that manage to drive in circles for hours. That’s certainly a part of why I love it, but it’s so much more than that. It’s a symbol of a deep and profound need for growth and rebirth, if you will. A symbol of the past and future. I will gladly pass it down one day - with a message of hope.

I have a luxury watch and it has broken twice since owning it, despite just very normal wear around the office and just generally around town.

Meanwhile some Seiko’s I have, have been abused a lot and never stopped.

I’m so peeved about this watch lately because I need to get it repaired again since it suddenly stopped working after I was away on vacation for a month and didn’t bring it along with me.
Literally leaving it in a case for a few weeks is apparently enough to break it.

Honestly I just want a good quality mechanical watch that has solid materials and looks good at this point. Increasingly I’d rather just wear my Seiko instead of anything luxury due to this.
