If you're unsure about what you want to do, start at community college and save your money. You'll be able to knock out a lot of the bullshit lower division GE courses during this time. Check out what classes or degrees will transfer over to university.

Most engineers don't become wealthy. If your goal is to be wealthy you should take the finance and business classes. Even if you end up becoming an engineer. It will help you make more money as an engineer.

Later in life, you'll basically have to learn a lot of finance and wish you did earlier.
Finance is probably good just to be cognizant of money/investing from the get-go.
Compsci is not AI proof, and a lot of shitty compsi majors end up unemployed, or wanting to blow their brains out as IT workers.
But it does also open a lot of doors.
IMO, comp sci if you know you're smart and can handle math.

I have a BA, BSME, and JD all from prestigious top tier US universities. I got into IP and made enough money to early retire at 42.
If I had the ability to do it all over, I would have skipped all of that bullshit and just would have worked in bars and restaurants in some nice resort towns straight out of high school. Aspen in winter, somewhere in Florida during summer. Even with zero experience you can start out as a barback in some second tier place even somewhere like that. If you go for a male heavy subject like comp sci at least pick a big uni like like University of Helsinki so you can go to other parties with more holes. It will suck to go to a sausage party school.

If you go comp sci you can take a health care related side subject. Things like genetics use massive computer processing now and if you dip into eg biology there's tons of femaels there plus job opportunities are better if you specialize a bit. Just knowing computers isn't a ticket anymore.
