Robbie Lawlor, Aoife Commins, and Enda McGrattan — known as Veda Lady — at the launch of the new HSE campaign, 'You, Me, and HIV', in January. The campaign aims to address misconceptions around HIV and help reduce the stigma experienced by people living with HIV in Ireland.
Recent research has found that 7 in 10 people are unaware that when a person living with HIV is on effective treatment, it cannot be passed on. The first burst of advertising raises awareness of this important message about transmission. See more information in the full press release.
The ‘You, Me and HIV’ campaign will be live across TV, video on demand, out of home advertising in transport settings and social media. In the advertising campaign, which starts from 14th January 2025, people living with HIV and their loved ones, share their experiences of living with HIV, what it’s meant for their relationship and what they have learned in the process.
