I’ve had some amazing experiences myself with what at least seemed to be an OOBE from lucid dreaming. I get materialists will dismiss it but there does seem to be some evidence for various psi phenomenon.

If this is true, what are the implications in the general culture? Could these powers be harnessed to somehow make an impact or fight forces of evil in society ?

Then again I often wonder, if they are real or tangible, why don’t people like the Palestinians use them to somehow fight the zionists?

Yes but not in an active battlefield at least not yet. The fabric of reality is indeed influenced by your thoughts, there are many "generations" of warfare and the "highest" one (even thoughts we're still filling out the generations and we will do so forever) will always be the fight between good and evil controlling the future with sheer will (consciousness plus your brain).
