buying a house was literally the worst fucking decision I have ever made in my life and I regret ever doing it. I fucking HATE this shit. I know this will result in a net loss because housing is a depreciating asset that breaks down the moment you get it just like a car. I would literally rather rent an apartment for the rest of my life at a higher cost than have to deal with the infinite amount of stress and timewasting bullshit a house entails.

Its bad because landlords are charging more for rent than their monthly mortage payment. They lived life on easy mode, were able to save up for 5-10 years on an AVERAGE salary with benefits, and along with the government invited in millions of shitskins to compete for a shortfall of housing and thus are now able to overcharge for rent while pissing their money away on vacations and liquor. Boomers and the remaining silent gen should have their homes expropriated for pennies on the dollar and forced to live in retirement homes run by the shitskins they willfully allowed in.

I own some things. It’s really not as glamorous as they make it seem. As soon as my kids are grown I’m giving it all to them and moving in the woods. I don’t expect to last long but my goal will be to walk to the North Pole, I’ll probably get eaten by a bear before I hit Canada.

A big problem is land tax. Owner occupiers pay a lower rate than landlords, and the landlords pass this higher tax on to the renters.

So in the end, renters pay more tax than owners.

It depends entirely on interest rates, minimum downpayments, rents vs salary levels and risk. Sometimes its best to rent. Here housing is too expensive but renting isnt, because rents are limited by local incomes while housing prices are driven by rich american jews buying property. They keep buying property despite the low ROI, housing triples while rents stay the same.
Best put that money on the stock market and rent 3 houses with the profits.
