Fasting for a day is alright. Fasting for a few days is pushing it. Fasting for 40 is suicidal. Will probably give up 3 days in and get himself some fish and chips.

I did one of those, it was rough. I usually do 3 day fasts just fine. But by day 4, the only thing that I could think of was food, food, food. I did not even feel hungry.
